Chair Casters for Carpet

The most important thing is to make sure that the stem of the caster will FIT your chair. The stem type and size are critical. All of the casters on this page have 7/16" Diameter Grip Ring Stems. Click on the link below to learn how to correctly measure your stem so your replacement casters will fit perfectly.

Our selection offers 5 different styles to fit most decors;

Unhooded Casters with Spoked Twin Nylon Wheels are suggested for infrequently moved objects such as furniture and store fixtures. This caster is also recommended for office chairs which roll directlly on carpet. They come only with 60mm wheels. A wheel brake is an optional feature.
Hooded Nylon Casters with Twin Nylon Wheels are suggested for infrequently moved objects such as furniture and store fixtures. Available with 50mm or 60mm wheels and an optional brake. This caster is recommended only for carpet.
Unhooded Twin Wheel Casters with Polyurethane Tires is available with 50mm polyurethane wheels. This caster will work well on either hard floor surfaces or short pile carpet.
Metal Hooded Twin Wheel Casters with Polyurethane Tires offers 4 decorative colors. These casters have polyurethane wheels which can be used on both hard and carpeted floor surfaces. Available in both 50mm or 60mm wheel diameters.
The Elite series offers a stylish polyurethane wheel which can be used on either hard floors or carpeting. It is only available with a 3" diameter wheel and has the highest capacity of the casters listed here.


Some casters on this page are sold in both 50mm and 60mm sizes. This is a comparison between the two different sizes. Casters on most chairs and furniture have 50mm wheels and work fine for most applications. If you require additional capacity or are going to roll on carpet, you may want to consider the 60mm size.

Twin Wheel Casters with Polyurethane Tires

Features & Benefits:

Polyurethane tires will not mark or scratch hard floor surfaces such as hardwood and ceramic tile. Should not be used on SOFT wood floors like pine.
If on thick carpet, select the 60mm wheel diameter.
Metal body and hood with beautiful plated finish.
Choice of four hood colors.
