Light Duty Casters - Caster Model 01


Capacity up to 200 pounds per caster.
These casters have a low initial cost. They were designed for intermittent usage ( light duty ) on manually moved equipment, rolling on smooth floors, in applications where there is no abuse. The swivel consists of one row of balls rotating on an unhardened raceway. The wheels have a Plain Bore ( PB ). Despite the lack of a double ball bearing swivel turning on hardened raceways and the absence of an anti-friction bearing in the wheels, this caster holds up amazingly well in many applications.

You may want to consider our caster Model 3. It represents a better return on your investment because it provides higher capacity, easier rolling, longer caster life and a wider selection of wheels.

Deduct 1/4 lb. for weight of Rigid Casters.
You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. Capacity ratings do not take into account the effort required to manually move a load. Capacity ratings are based on manual operation under ideal conditions. If these casters are going to be moved by mechanically powered equipment, consult us for a reduced capacity rating based on your application. If a human being has to move the weight, select the largest practical wheel diameter.
