Industrial Caster - Caster Model G15 - Plate Mount

Capacity up to 1,500 pounds per caster.
Model 15 begins our industrial casters with precision machined swivel bearings. This design provides superior performance on both manually moved and mechanically powered equipment. Benefits include easier swiveling, reduced swivel vibration, and longer trouble free performance.

Although this caster has the same wheels as shown in Caster Model 9, Model G15 is TWICE as good from the standpoint of performance and expected length of life.

Suggested for a capacity of up to 1500 lbs per caster in a manually moved application and for up to 1000 lbs when moved with mechanically powered equipment. When used with mechanically powered equipment at loads above 1000 lbs. per caster we suggest selecting from Caster Model 30 or Caster Model 50. Features:

Swivel Construction - precision machined combination load and thrust bearing with heat treated raceway. No center pin.
Legs - 1/4" thick, welded inside and out.
Axle - 1/2'' diameter hollow bolt with lock nut.
Wheel Bearing - 3/4" I.D. hardened straight roller bearings. CB wheels have ball bearings. NP wheels have a plain bore.
Grease Fittings - for swivel and wheel bearings.
Finish - external metal parts are zinc plated.

Optional Features:

Wheel Brake TB - Pedal on side of Wheel Locks on top of wheel.	Swivel Lock SL4 - Welded - Locks Swivel, NOT wheel.

Long Lead On 8" Swivel Casters only. Reduces Noise and Vibration. Increases the Swivel Radius to 7 1/2".
Sealed Precision Ball Bearings - PS - Sealed Precision Ball Bearings increase rollability and are maintenance free. Available on Non-Metal Center Wheels.

The Long Lead Option is only available on the 8" Swivel Caster. The "Long Lead" option inceases the Swivel Radius to 7 1/2", making it easier to change directions while reducing noise and vibration .

Deduct 2 lb. for weight of rigid caster.

You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. Capacity ratings do not take into account the effort required to manually move a load. Capacity ratings are based on manual operation under ideal conditions. If these casters are going to be moved by mechanically powered equipment, consult us for a reduced capacity rating based on your application. If a human being has to move the weight, select the largest practical wheel diameter.

If a caster failure occurs it is almost always because of misuse or abuse. It has been very rare that a product failed because of faulty material or poor workmanship. The following are examples of things that we do NOT want you to do:

1. Dragging the wheel sideways.
2. Shock or Impact caused by dropping the load instead of setting it down on the castered equipment.
3. Improper Installation such as:
	A. Rigid casters not installed parallel to one another.
	B. Swivel casters not installed parallel to the floor.
	C. Using less than 4 bolts to attach the mounting plate.
	D. Distortion of the swivel bearing when attaching the mounting plate due to welding improperly.
4. Exceeding the rated capacity of the wheel or caster.
5. Exceeding a rolling speed of 3 MPH.
6. The build up of heat caused by continuous operation causing tire separation.
