| Capacity up to 300 pounds per caster. These
institutional casters are ideal for any light duty application where the caster
must be totally immobile when the caster brake is applied. Caster Model 3A has
a unique brake which locks both the wheel and the swivel bearing at the same
time. This "Total-Lock" brake insures that the swivel caster will not turn when
the wheel is locked. This combination wheel brake and swivel lock is essential
for safety in some applications - such as on worktables, tablesaws, and medical
equipment. The Total-Lock brake is desireable whenever a brake is needed
because it makes a swivel caster totally immobile. The wheels featured with
Caster Model 3A are non-marking, and all except Polyolefin can be used on
hardwood floors. Polyolefin wheels are best at reducing the risk of a flat spot
occuring when loads are left standing for prolong periods. Gray Soft Rubber and
Polyurethane wheels have a sealed precision ball bearing. They provide floor
and cargo protection, quiet operation, and are very easy rolling. Try a set of
4 casters. You will be amazed at their performance! |

Wheels Dual Wheel |

Dual Wheel casters provide a higher load capacity with
a minimal overall height. The larger footprint ( two wheels instead of one )
enhances stability and spreads the load over a larger floor area. The
differential action inherent in all swivel dual wheel designs minimizes the
effort required to change directions. We chose to show only our highest
capacity polyurethane wheels because they minimize floor wear. If your
application requires ductile steel wheels, please contact us for pricing.
Features: * Hot forged steel precision machined swivel bearings. * No
center pin to fail in arduous applications. * Tapered roller bearings are
standard in wheels to withstand side thrust. * All wheels have extra high
capacity polyurethane tires to provide floor protection and to minimize the
chance of the tires developing a flat spot under load. * Zerk fittings to
lubricate swivel and wheel bearings. * Zinc plated finish for added rust
resistance. |

SELF-ENERGIZING rubber wheels require the lowest draw
bar effort ever devised in any resilient tread wheel. The prestressed rubber
tire resists flattening under load, reduces "scrubbing" action when turning,
and actually helps to roll the load. A minimum starting effort, and an
extremely small draw bar pull to maintain motion (60% less than conventional
rubber), allows one man to move loads (up to 3000 lbs.) that before required
several men. Vertical bonding (with approximately seven times the area of
conventional wheels) eliminates bond failure as a cause for wheel replacement.
The steel side discs dissipate heat so that the tire remains cool after hours
of uninterrupted operation. Sealed tapered roller bearings are pre-adjusted in
the wheel to assure they always maintain proper adjustment.
The
SELF-ENERGIZING Wheel can be the least expensive rubber wheel because your
people do more with less energy expenditure ... because it prevents injuries
due to excessive strain ... protects floors because shock and impact of hard
tread wheels are replaced with resiliency ... saves you money by increasing
efficiency and production, reducing overhead costs and prolonging equipment
life. The SELF-ENERGIZING Wheel performs at maximum efficiency when mounted
in a Super Swivel Assembly. The caster swivels friction free on two sealed
tapered roller bearings. High tensile corrosion resistant aluminum alloy forks
have the correct offset for perfect swiveling with rubber tired wheels.
Vibration and shimmy are minimized.
The SUPER CASTER with the
SELF-ENERGIZING rubber wheel is the ultimate caster instrument - providing ease
of start - minimum rolling resistance - lowest cost per mile or hour of
operation. There is nothing else comparable in caster performance and long
life. |
