Swivel-EAZ ™ Casters - Model 9

Swivel-EAZ ™ Polyurethane Wheel

Features & Benefits:
  • They are made with high performance non-marking polyurethane tires. When used in this caster, the maximum recommended speed is 3 miles per hour.
  • Each wheel has two independent rotating surfaces which enhance capacity and swivel ease.
  • They are ergonomically designed to minimize the force required to initially start an object as well as the force required to keep it in motion.
  • They improve safety for your employees by reducing the risk of injury.
  • The heavy duty aluminum centers are equipped with extra large sealed precision ball bearings which require NO maintenance.
  • These wheels have a higher carrying capacity and roll easier than any other polyurethane wheel of the same diameter having the same size footprint and hardness.
Model 9 Caster Bracket - Capacity up to 900 pounds per caster.

Features & Benefits:
  • Swivel Construction - cold forged top plate and yoke base from 1/4" steel. Swivel has double ball bearing with hardened raceways.
  • Center Pin - 5/8" diameter, rivet or bolt and nut.
  • Legs - 1/4" thick, welded outside only.
  • Axle - 1/2'' diameter hollow bolt with lock nut.
  • Grease Fittings - for swivel.
  • Finish - external metal parts are zinc plated
When you make a value analysis, it is these features & benefits that, in our opinion, make this caster the finest ever made. The slightly higher initial cost is more than offset by its performance and long service life! Why invest in these casters? Because, day in, day out, week by week, and year by year the savings in operation pile up - maximum loads at minimum effort - no replacement for years. Try a set. You will be immediately amazed at the noticeable difference.

Deduct 1 lb. for weight of rigid caster.

You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. Capacity ratings do not take into account the effort required to manually move a load. Capacity ratings are based on manual operation under ideal conditions. If these casters are going to be moved by mechanically powered equipment, consult us for a reduced capacity rating based on your application. If a human being has to move the weight, select the largest practical wheel diameter.

If a caster failure occurs it is almost always because of misuse or abuse. It has been very rare that a product failed because of faulty material or poor workmanship. The following are examples of things that we do NOT want you to do:

1. Dragging the wheel sideways.
2. Shock or Impact caused by dropping the load instead of setting it down on the castered equipment.
3. Improper Installation such as:
  A. Rigid casters not installed parallel to one another.
  B. Swivel casters not installed parallel to the floor.
  C. Using less than 4 bolts to attach the mounting plate.
  D. Distortion of the swivel bearing when attaching the mounting plate due to welding improperly.
4. Exceeding the rated capacity of the wheel or caster.
5. Exceeding a rolling speed of 3 MPH.
6. The build up of heat caused by continuous operation causing tire separation.
