5″ Polyolefin – Black Donut Wheel.Ball Bearings. Shown in photo with 5″ wheels. This stem caster L3 Model is made of stamped steel that is zinc plated to resist corrosion. The center pin stem caster L3 is a ½” diameter steel rivet that holds the raceways together and the diameter of the axle is ⅜”. Stem Caster Model L3 caster brackets have two rows of ball bearings rotating on raceways for smoother swiveling. There is a solid cover over the swivel raceways to shield them from dirt and dust. This stem caster performs best if you limit the load to no more than 800 lbs on a set of 4 model 3 casters.

Polyolefin Caster Wheels are injection molded from a blend of thermoplastic polymers forming a one piece solid sanitary design. These Polyolefin wheels are especially suited for wet and corrosive applications. They are very resistant to most commonly encountered liquids. Polyolefin wheels have a lower capacity and a more limited temperature range than Nylon wheels. In a cold dry environment, such as a refrigerated store room, Polyolefin wheels may become brittle. They should not be used in a freezer or a heat application above 180°F intermittent usage, such as a rack washer.

This donut shaped wheel comes with sealed ball bearings in the wheel. It’s tread shape enables it to change directions much more easily.
