Description
When moving equipment with Rigid Casters – supported by swivel casters – it can be difficult to control the direction you are pushing or pulling. However, Rigid casters can assist in straight line travel and hold more weight than the Swivel Caster. Rigid Casters have 2 legs horizontally to the mounting plate. Leg thickness is 1/4”. Nevertheless, on our website both rigid casters and matching swivel casters are shown with the same capacity. Other mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request.
Phenolic wheels are non-marking, hard composition wheels designed for supporting large loads comparable to a metal wheel. Phenolic can not develop a flat spot if left parked for a long period under load, and the wheel is capable of withstanding shock loads and the impacts of small obstructions. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. Phenolic wheels begin with 3” in diameter and are available for diameters up to 18”. All phenolic wheels have a Durometer of Shore D 90 and the temperature range is -40° to +250° F.
