Description

4″ Welded Disc Polyurethane Wheel . Plain Swivel (No brake) . Shown in photo with 5″ wheels. This Total Locking Stainless Caster Model 3A is our stainless steel total locking institutional caster which uses the same Model 3 1-¼” wide wheels. This caster is made using a stamped steel construction. Plate Caster Model 3A has a ⅜” axle and the swivel bearing is held together by a ½” rivet. Plate Caster Model 3A caster brackets have two rows of ball bearings rotating on raceways for smoother swiveling. There is a solid cover over the swivel raceways to shield them from dirt and dust. This plate caster performs best if you limit the load to no more than 1200 lbs on a set of 4 Model 3A casters. The Total Locking Stainless Caster Model 3A is excellent for medical equipment.

Caster City has designed the welded disc polyurethane caster wheels with stainless steel discs, and the liquid caster tire is permanently set between the discs. Caster City has designed this caster wheel to use ⅜” stainless steel annular ball bearings. This caster wheel boasts an attractive appearance and was designed for the test laboratory industry to withstand washdowns and caustic chemical conditions. Caster City has designed this wheel to come in either 4” or 5” diameters and the tire is 1-¼” wide. The welded disc polyurethane wheel has a temperature range of -40°F to +180°F and the durometer of the polyurethane is 95A(+/-5).
