Description

4″ Phenolic.Plain Bore Wheel. Shown in photo with 5″ wheels. Stem Caster Model L3 is made using a stamped steel construction and is zinc plated. This stem caster uses a ⅜” diameter axle and the swivel caster raceway is held together by a ½” diameter rivet. This stem caster’s swivel bearing is held together by two ball bearings. There is a solid cover over the swivel raceways to shield them from dirt and dust. This stem caster performs best if you limit the load to no more than 800 lbs on a set of 4 model 3 casters.

Phenolic caster wheels are a hard composition, non-marking wheel that is excellent for large loads that do not move often. This caster wheel can handle the impacts of small obstructions and shock loads, as well as being unable to develop flat spots if left immobile with a high static load. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs. Caster City has designed this wheel to either have a precision sealed ball bearing or a roller bearing in the wheel. This wheel comes in diameters ranging from 3” to 18” and the width of the wheels ranges from 1-¼” to 4”.
