Description
5″ Phenolic Wheel. Size shown in photo is 6 x 2. Caster City’s Stainless Steel Model G15 rigid caster frames are constructed with stamped steel and the 304 stainless steel is excellent for corrosion resistance and washdowns, such as with food processing. The mounting plate and legs of the caster are ¼” thick 304 stainless steel. This caster is ROHS and NSF compliant. This stainless steel rigid caster uses a 1/2” diameter axle. Rigid casters are most commonly selected when price is a factor, or if you need to travel in a straight line over long distances. Phenolic caster wheels are a hard composition, non-marking wheel that is excellent for large loads that do not move often. This phenolic caster wheel can not develop flat spots and the wheel is capable of withstanding the impacts of small obstructions or shock loads. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. This wheel comes in diameters ranging from 3” to 18” and the width of the wheels ranges from 1-¼” to 4”.
