Description
Swivel and Rigid caster frames are made from stamped steel that is plated in zinc for enhanced corrosion resistance. This stem caster’s swivel bearing is held together by two ball bearings rotating on hardened raceways. There is a solid cover protecting the swivel raceways to shield them from dirt and dust. This institutional stem caster is a step up from most swivel casters of it’s price range since it uses a 3/8” axle bolt over a 1/4″ axle and it’s center pin steel rivet is 1/2” diameter. The stem choices for this stem caster are not intended to reliably hold more than 250lbs each while rolling.
This black finish plate swivel caster has a maximum capacity of 300lbs.
The blue tire (tread) on the Road Case Caster wheel is a flexible elastomer. What makes this elastomer special is its ability to bounce. Resilience in a wheel material is a necessary feature in order to protect the cargo being moved. The tire on this wheel is a resilient synthetic elastic rubber. It provides the performance of a cushion ride without the expense associated with a tire made using natural rubber. The tire is chemically bonded to a heavy duty impact resistant industrial grade polyolefin core (center).

It will roll over cords, thresholds, up and down ramps, over uneven surfaces such as asphalt and truck ramps, and other obstructions. It is the 4″ diameter wheel of choice for many applications in Scientific and Electronic Laboratories, TV and Movie Studios, Hospitals, Hotels, and Department Stores. The Road Case Caster wheel is ideally suited to move fragile or delicate cargo, and wherever noise and vibration should be reduced.
