Description
Caster City now manufactures a solid polyurethane wheel with a friction-less precision sealed ball bearing. We manufacture this wheel in 3, 4 and 5 inch diameters.
The ET5x1.25SPS Elite wheel combines a solid polyolefin core that’s fully encased in polyurethane, providing superior performance characteristics for institutional applications. The 5-inch diameter by 1.25-inch wide design features dual ball bearings for smooth, maintenance-free operation. With a Shore D 65 durometer rating, this wheel offers an ideal balance of durability and floor protection. When under load, the polyurethane tread provides moderate deflection while maintaining its shape, making it suitable for applications requiring both load capacity and floor preservation. However, like all polyurethane wheels, if loads exceed 60% of the rated capacity and remain stationary for extended periods, flat-spotting may occur. The mechanical bonding of the polyurethane to the polyolefin core ensures long-term durability and resistance to tread separation.
This particular wheel comes equipped with Stainless Steel Precision Sealed Ball Bearings for Clean Room and other sanitary applications.
