Description
Plate Caster Model 9 are a cheaper cost option with a wide variety of wheels. The turn on these casters has a bolt and nut center pin welded to handle normal wear in a hand-powered applications. Under the mounting plate this caster model has 2 rows of balls that are designed to rotate on heat covered raceways. Specs: center bolt diameter is 5/8”, leg thickness is 1/4”; welded on the inside and out, axle diameter is 1/2” long, and hub width of 2 7/16”. This model 9 caster is built from stamped steel. The zinc metal frames prevent rust and the fittings are lubricated. There is also has a wide selection of wheel brakes and swivel locks for most applications as well as other mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types available on request.
It should also be noted that Model 9 Phenolic Casters are an excellent choice for capacity limited applications. The strong composition of the wheel ensures that will not develop a flat spot. The phenolic wheel carries loads as great as a same size iron wheel. The wheel can handle shock loads and any impact from small obstructions. Phenolic wheels are capable of absorbing water and other chemicals if exposed, but if this is select polyolefin wheels instead. Phenolic wheels in Model 9 come standard with a roller bearing. Temperature range is -40° to +250° F, with intermittent use up to 300° F.
DO NOT ORDER SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS IF YOU ORDER THE TL – TOTAL LOCK BRAKE. THE TL BRAKE WILL NOT WORK WITH EITHER THE SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS.
