6″ Phenolic Swivel Wheel – Model 50

Description

The Phenolic Wheel Plate Caster Model 50 uses the same wheels that are used in the Plate Case Model 30.  The change is the model 50 caster has a broader legs and an increased mounting plate. It was built this way to allow for cumbersome loads and more labored service. The precision swivel bearing is made for unmatched performance on both hand powered moved and machine powered equipment.  Options include a hand powered swivel lock that converts a swivel caster into a rigid caster for direct line travel and a face contact wheel brake to lock the caster wheels. There are lubricated fittings for all mobile parts and zinc plated metal frames for rust protection.

Caster City Phenolic wheels are a hard composition caster wheel which are non-marking in nature, making them excellent for supporting heavy stationary loads for long periods of time. Phenolic can not develop a flat spot if left parked for a long period under load, and the wheel is capable of withstanding shock loads and the impacts of small obstructions. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. Phenolic caster wheels start at 3” in diameter and are offered in diameters up to 18”. All phenolic wheels have a Durometer of Shore D 90 and the temperature range is -40° to +250° F.
