Description
The Model 50 Phenolic Swivel Casters are an upgrade over the Model 30. However, the Model 50 plate caster stands out as it allows for heavier loads and more arduous service which is due to its bigger mounting plate and wider/thicker legs. The swivel is unmatched in both manual and mechanical equipment and the plates are zinc plated for rust protection. This Model 50 also comes with the option of adding a face contact wheel brake and a swivel lock. It is a great caster for your factory and/or warehouse need.
Phenolic caster wheels are a hard composition, non-marking wheel that is excellent for large loads that do not move often. Phenolic caster wheels are capable of withstanding the impact shocks of obstructions or shock loads, and will not develop a flat spot if left parked for a prolonged period. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. Phenolic caster wheels start at 3” in diameter and are offered in diameters up to 18”. All phenolic wheels have a Durometer of Shore D 90 and the temperature range is -40° to +250° F.
