Model 9 Rigid Phenolic Casters are selected for their straight direction travel. The rigid casters are often sold with swivel casters but the majority are selected for when equipment requires manual movement.

Model 9 Phenolic Casters are an exceptional choice for capacity load applications. The sturdy composition of the wheel makes sure it doesn’t develop a flat spot. The phenolic wheel carries loads as well as iron wheels do. The wheel is built to withstand shock loads and small obstructions. Phenolic wheels are able to absorb water and other chemicals but if any excessive exposure to them occurs, select polyolefin wheels. Phenolic wheels in Model 9 come normally with a roller bearing. Temperature range is -40° to +250° F, with intermittent use up to 300° F.

Phenolic caster wheels make an excellent, low cost choice for supporting high standing loads that move infrequently. This phenolic caster wheel can not develop flat spots and the wheel is capable of withstanding the impacts of small obstructions or shock loads. If your application will expose this caster wheel to routine moisture or chemicals, you should use another wheel. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. This wheel comes in diameters ranging from 3” to 18” and the width of the wheels ranges from 1-¼” to 4”. All phenolic wheels have a Durometer of Shore D 90 and the temperature range is -40° to +250° F.
