6″ Phenolic Wheel – Model 9 Swivel Caster

DO NOT ORDER SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS IF YOU ORDER THE TL – TOTAL LOCK BRAKE. THE TL BRAKE WILL NOT WORK WITH EITHER THE SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS.

Model 9 swivel casters are low cost and vast variety of wheels. The swivel has a bolt and nut center pin welded to withstand normal wear and tear in a hand-moved application. Under the mounting plate the Model 9 has 2 rows of balls rotating on heat treated raceways. Model 9’s center bolt diameter is 5/8”, leg thickness is 1/4”; welded on the inside and out, axle diameter is 1/2” long, and hub width of 2 7/16”.  This caster is constructed from stamped steel.  The metal frames are plated with zinc rust prevention and lubrication fittings for all moving parts.  This model also has a wide selection of wheel brakes and swivel locks for most applications. Other mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types also available on request.

Model 9 Phenolic Casters are an excellent choice for storage or standing load applications.  The hard composition of the wheel ensures that it can not develop a flat spot.  The phenolic wheel will carry loads as great as a same size iron wheel.  The wheel can withstand shock loads and the impacts of small obstructions.  Phenolic wheels can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure to them occurs, so select polyolefin wheels instead.  Phenolic wheels in Model 9 come standard with a roller bearing.  Temperature range is -40° to +250° F, with intermittent use up to 300° F.
