Description
8″ Phenolic Wheel. Stainless Precision Sealed Ball Bearings in the Wheel. Size shown in photo is 6 x 2. Choose Stem Above. Stainless steel stem caster G15 offers our highest load capacity for a stem caster with either a ¾” or 1” diameter threaded stainless steel stem. It’s precision machined swivel bearing contains a combination load and thrust bearing which enables easier swiveling and reduced swivel vibration. This caster uses the same 2” wide wheels as Stainless Steel Model 9, offering a wide range of wheel material and bearings. Stainless Steel G15 is a kingpinless design caster, foregoing a center pin that can stretch and fail under heavy loads. This stainless steel swivel caster is intended for manually operated applications only, please consult with us if powered equipment is to be used. This stainless steel stem caster is not intended to be used as a leveling device, doing so will cause it to fail prematurely. If your stainless steel application calls for more than 6000lbs of total weight on four casters, please consult with us for a recommendation.
Phenolic wheels are non-marking, hard composition wheels designed for supporting large loads comparable to a metal wheel. Phenolic can not develop a flat spot if left parked for a long period under load, and the wheel is capable of withstanding shock loads and the impacts of small obstructions. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. This wheel comes in diameters ranging from 3” to 18” and the width of the wheels ranges from 1-¼” to 4”. A phenolic wheel has a temperature range is -40° to +250° F and a Durometer of Shore D 90.
