Description

Plate Rigid Caster Model 9 is the matching plate caster for the Model 9 Swivel Caster. When hand-operating equipment supported by 4 swivel casters it can be tough to control the direction you are pushing or pulling. Rigid casters assist in controlling equipment being moved in straight line travel. Equipment with both rigid casters can not move sideways. Rigid Casters are usually installed at the opposite end of the push handle. Features Include: 2 perpendicular legs on the mounting plate, leg thickness: 1/4”, axle diameter: 1/2”, hub width 2 7/16”, and built with stamped steel. Rigid Casters can carry more weight than swivels because they do not have an offset. Other mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request.

This injection molded soft gray rubber tire has had the carbon black removed from the rubber which makes it a non-marking caster wheel, suitable for applications such as a hospital. This institutional caster wheel was designed to use a 1/2” axel and the tread width of the tire is 2”. These caster wheels should not be left standing under load for extended periods as the tires may take a permanent “set” or develop flat spots.
