Description
Plate Caster Model 9 are an option for many customers because of their low price and variety of wheels. The turn swivel has a center pin weld with bolt and nut to handle wear and tear. Specs: diameter of 5/8″, leg thickness of 1/4″, and axle diameter of 1/2″, a hub diameter of 2 7/16″, and a 5/8″ center bolt. Every movable part is greased and plated in zinc for rust prevention. Model 9 has a large range of locks, plate mount types, and wheel brakes.
In capacity load applications, the Phenolic Casters Model 9 are well built and will not develop flat spots like other wheels may. The carry weights are as good as an iron wheel and can handle small obstructions and shock loads. If they are exposed to water or chemicals, polyolefin wheels are better. Each plastic wheel in Model 9 includes a roller bearing. Operating temperatures range from -40°C to +250°C. Moreover, its intermittent use may reach 300°F.
DO NOT ORDER SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS IF YOU ORDER THE TL – TOTAL LOCK BRAKE. THE TL BRAKE WILL NOT WORK WITH EITHER THE SWIVEL LOCK OR RACEWAY SEALS.
