10″ Phenolic Swivel Wheel – Model 50

Description

Model 50 swivel casters utilize the same Phenolic caster wheels shown in model 30 plate caster. Designed with heavier loads in mind, this model of plate caster is built with a bigger mounting plate (coated in zinc) and thicker legs. The precision machined swivel bearing provides excellent performance on both manually moved and mechanically powered equipment.  Popular options include a face contact wheel brake to lock the wheels, and a hand operated swivel lock that converts a swivel caster into a rigid caster for direct line travel. There are lubrication fittings for all moveable parts, and the metal frames are zinc plated for rust resistance.

Phenolic caster wheels are a hard composition, non-marking wheel that is excellent for large loads that do not move often. This phenolic caster wheel can not develop flat spots and the wheel is capable of withstanding the impacts of small obstructions or shock loads. Phenolic can absorb water and other chemicals if excessive exposure occurs. Caster City has designed this wheel to either have a precision sealed ball bearing or a roller bearing in the wheel. This wheel comes in diameters ranging from 3” to 18” and the width of the wheels ranges from 1-¼” to 4”.
