Frequently Asked Questions about the Economy Stainless Steel Caster Model K3 with Gray Soft Rubber Wheel “RF”
What is the load capacity of the Economy Stainless Steel Caster Model K3 with the Gray Soft Rubber Wheel “RF”?
The load capacity is up to 300 pounds per caster. For manual operation, reduce the load to 150 pounds per caster to ensure ease of movement and minimize effort.
What environments is the Model K3 caster with the “RF” wheel suitable for?
This caster and wheel combo is perfect for wet or corrosive environments like pharmaceutical labs, hospitals, food processing plants, and institutional settings where cleanliness, durability, and quiet operation are key.
What are the key features of the Model K3 caster?
The Model K3 is crafted from stamped stainless steel for rust and corrosion resistance. Its swivel design skips the dust cap, using a drain hole instead to prevent water buildup—ideal for wet conditions. No grease fitting means lower cost and less maintenance.
What are the advantages of the Gray Soft Rubber Wheel “RF” in this caster?
The “RF” wheel is non-marking, quiet, and shock-absorbing, protecting floors and equipment while cutting vibration. It resists chemicals and solvents, and its soft rubber tread ensures a smooth, floor-friendly ride.
In which industries are the Model K3 caster and “RF” wheel commonly used?
You’ll find them in pharmaceutical labs, hospitals, food service, and institutional settings—anywhere cleanliness, quietness, and floor protection matter. They also work in light industrial spaces with smooth, dry floors.
What are the limitations of the Gray Soft Rubber Wheel “RF”?

How should I use the Model K3 caster with the “RF” wheel to ensure optimal performance and longevity?
Avoid overloading, keep floors smooth and clear, and don’t let it sit under load for ages. For manual use, cut the load capacity to 150 pounds per caster and pick the biggest wheel diameter that fits.
Can the “RF” wheel be used on any floor surface?
It shines on smooth, dry factory floors but isn’t suited for rough, uneven, or cluttered surfaces, which can hurt its performance and lifespan.
Why is there no grease fitting on the Model K3 caster?

How does the swivel design of the Model K3 caster prevent water collection?
With no dust cap over the ball bearings and a drain hole in the swivel bearing, water flows right through—preventing buildup and keeping things hygienic in wet settings.
What is the wheel material and construction of the “RF” wheel?
The “RF” wheel features gray, non-marking thermoplastic rubber molded onto a polyolefin (industrial plastic) core. It’s durable, quiet, chemical-resistant, and gentle on floors thanks to its soft rubber tread.
