6″ Phenolic Wheel – Model G15 Rigid Caster

Rigid Model G15 is the identical plate caster for the G15 Swivel. When moving equipment manually supported by 4 swivel casters it can be hard to control the direction you are pulling or pushing. Rigids help in controlling machinery being moved in direct line travel. Equipment with two/both rigid casters can not move sideways. These type of casters are usually equipped at the opposite end of the push handle. They have 2 legs horizontal to the mounting plate. Leg thickness is 1/4”. The diameter axle is 1/2” and is built to use wheels with a hub width of 2 7/16”. This rigid caster is built from cold forged steel. Rigid Casters can carry more weight than swivel casters because they do not have an offset. Nonetheless, on our website both rigid casters and same swivel casters are shown with the same load capacity. Caster City Phenolic wheels are a hard composition caster wheel which are non-marking in nature, making them excellent for supporting heavy stationary loads for long periods of time. Phenolic can not develop a flat spot if left parked for a long period under load, and the wheel is capable of withstanding shock loads and the impacts of small obstructions. If your application will expose this caster wheel to routine moisture or chemicals, you should use another wheel. Phenolic caster wheels come standard with a roller bearing and have precision sealed ball bearings as an option. This wheel comes in diameters ranging from 3” to 18” and the width of the wheels ranges from 1-¼” to 4”.
