Capacity up to 2,000 pounds per caster. Model G15 begins our industrial casters with precision machined swivel bearings. This design provides superior performance on both manually moved and mechanically powered equipment. Benefits include easier swiveling, reduced swivel vibration, and longer trouble free performance.
Although this caster has the same wheels as shown in Caster Model 9, Model G15 is TWICE as good from the standpoint of performance and expected length of life.
Desktop: When you put your mouse over the words in the wheel description column you see a picture of the wheel. Click on the part number in the Swivel and Rigid columns to see the complete caster.
Mobile: Hold down your finger on the chart and scroll to the right to click on the part number you would like to order.
Wheel Brakes are not designed to hold on inclines. Not available on V-Groove Wheels.
Weld on Face Contact Brake option makes the caster non returnable.
Pedal on side of Wheel Locks ONLY the wheel from rolling. The TB wheel brake is not available on a swivel with the Long Lead.
Total Lock Brake locks Swivel and Wheel.
Precision Sealed Ball Bearings increase rollability and are maintenance free. Available on Non-Metal Center Wheels.
The Long Lead Option is only available on the 6″ and 8″ Swivel Casters.
Swivel Lock converts a swivel caster into a rigid caster for direct line travel. Swivel Locks lock ONLY swivel, not the wheel.
Weld on Swivel Lock option makes the caster non returnable.
The “Long Lead” option increases the Swivel Radius to 5 3/4″ for the 6″ diameter wheels. The “Long Lead” option increases the Swivel Radius to 7 3/4″ for the 8″ diameter wheels. You can choose the “Long Lead Option” in the shopping cart. Click on the Swivel Caster part numbers to see all the options available. Long Lead option is not available with a TB wheel brake.
You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. Capacity ratings do not take into account the effort required to manually move a load. Capacity ratings are based on manual operation under ideal conditions. If these casters are going to be moved by mechanically powered equipment, consult us for a reduced capacity rating based on your application. If a human being has to move the weight, select the largest practical wheel diameter. If a caster failure occurs it is almost always because of misuse or abuse. It has been very rare that a product failed because of faulty material or poor workmanship. The following are examples of things that we do NOT want you to do:
1. Dragging the wheel sideways.
2. Shock or Impact caused by dropping the load instead of setting it down on the castered equipment.
3. Improper Installation such as:
A. Rigid casters not installed parallel to one another.
B. Swivel casters not installed parallel to the floor.
C. Using less than 4 bolts to attach the mounting plate.
D. Distortion of the swivel bearing when attaching the mounting plate due to welding improperly.
4. Exceeding the rated capacity of the wheel or caster.
5. Exceeding a rolling speed of 3 MPH.
6. The build up of heat caused by continuous operation causing tire separation.
You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. There is no industry standard for load capacity ratings and they may not include a factor for abuse. Our capacity ratings are below what the casters are capable of carrying because most applications have less than perfect conditions. Please refer to the information shown at the bottom of this page. If you have any doubt as to which wheel or caster is the BEST choice for your application contact us for a recommendation.
