Model 9 swivel casters are our most popular industrial caster because of its low initial cost and wide selection of wheels. Under the mounting plate it has 2 rows of balls rotating on heat treated raceways. The swivel has a bolt and nut center pin welded to withstand normal abuse in a manually moved application. The center bolt diameter is 5/8” and the leg thickness is 1/4”, welded on the inside and out. The axle diameter is 1/2” long and is designed to use wheels with a hub width of 2 7/16”. This caster is constructed from stamped steel. The metal frames are zinc plated for rust resistance, and it has lubrication fittings for all moveable parts. Model 9 has a broad selection of wheel brakes and swivel locks for most applications. Other mounting plate sizes and wheel bearing types are available on request.
