For ZINC PLATED Plate Caster Model 9:
Stainless steel casters are ideal for use in a wet or corrosive environment. Typical applications include Pharmaceutical Laboratories and Food Processing Plants.
Features:
- Swivel Construction – cold forged top plate and yoke base from 1/4″ Stainless Steel.
- Legs – 1/4″ thick, welded inside and out.
- Axle – 1/2” diameter hollow bolt with lock nut.
- Standard Wheel Bearing:
D= Delrin Bearings, P= Plain Bore,
SPS= Stainless Precision Sealed Ball Bearings,
SSR= Stainless Steel Roller Bearing - Grease Fittings – for swivel and wheel bearings.
Wheel Brakes are not designed to hold on inclines.
Swivel Lock converts a swivel caster into a rigid caster for direct line travel.

- Deduct 1 lb. for weight of rigid caster.
- Swivel Radius Information: The Total Locking Option ( TL ) changes the Swivel Radius of the caster to the following; 4", 5" and 6" diameter wheels = 6 1/2" Swivel Radius 8" diameter wheel = 7 1/2" Swivel Radius

If a caster failure occurs it is almost always because of misuse or abuse. It has been very rare that a product failed because of faulty material or poor workmanship. The following are examples of things that we do NOT want you to do:
- Dragging the wheel sideways.
- Shock or Impact caused by dropping the load instead of setting it down on the castered equipment.
- Improper Installation such as:
A. Rigid casters not installed parallel to one another.
B. Swivel casters not installed parallel to the floor.
C. Using less than 4 bolts to attach the mounting plate.
D. Distortion of the swivel bearing when attaching the mounting plate due to welding improperly. - Exceeding the rated capacity of the wheel or caster.
- Exceeding a rolling speed of 3 MPH.
- The build up of heat caused by continuous operation causing tire separation.
