DW Polyurethane Wheels Features:

Each caster has two 1″ wide wheels which rotate independently and improve swivel rotation.

They are ergonomically designed to minimize the force required to initially start an object as well as the force required to keep it in motion.

They are made with high performance non-marking polyurethane tires. When used in this caster, the maximum recommended speed is 3 miles per hour.

They improve safety for your employees by reducing the risk of injury.

The heavy duty aluminum centers are equipped with extra large sealed precision ball bearings which require NO maintenance.

When you make a value analysis, it is these features & benefits that, in our opinion, make this caster worth your investment.. The slightly higher initial cost is more than offset by its performance and long service life! Why invest in these casters? We suggest that you do NOT drill the mounting holes to attach the casters until you receive them. We do NOT include mounting Hardware.

Model 2-20 Caster Bracket

Capacity up to 2000 pounds per caster.

Swivel Construction – precision machined combination load and thrust bearing with heat treated raceway. No center pin.

Legs – 1/4″ thick, welded inside and out.

Axle – 1/2” diameter hollow bolt with lock nut.

Grease Fitting – for swivel.

Finish – external metal parts are zinc plated

Deduct 2 lb. for weight of rigid caster.

Mounting Plate – 4″ x 6 1/4″

1. Dragging the wheel sideways.
2. Shock or Impact caused by dropping the load instead of setting it down on the castered equipment.
3. Improper Installation such as:
A. Rigid casters not installed parallel to one another.
B. Swivel casters not installed parallel to the floor.
C. Using less than 4 bolts to attach the mounting plate.
D. Distortion of the swivel bearing when attaching the mounting plate due to welding improperly.
4. Exceeding the rated capacity of the wheel or caster.
5. Exceeding a rolling speed of 3 MPH.
6. The build up of heat caused by continuous operation causing tire separation.

Optional Features:

Welded (SL4) – Locks Swivel, NOT wheel.

Welded (BSL4-FO) – Locks Swivel, NOT wheel.

Long Lead Option

The Long Lead Option is standard on the 6″ and 8″ Swivel Casters. It improves swivel rotation and reduces swivel vibration.

The “Long Lead” option increases the Swivel Radius to 5 1/2″ for the 6″ diameter wheels.

The “Long Lead” option increases the Swivel Radius to 7 1/2″ for the 8″ diameter wheels.

You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. There is no industry standard for load capacity ratings and they may not include a factor for abuse. Our capacity ratings are below what the casters are capable of carrying because most applications have less than perfect conditions. Please refer to the information shown at the bottom of this page.
