Heavy Duty Dual Wheel Casters Models 2-50, 2-100, 2-150
Dual Wheel casters provide a high load capacity with a minimum overall height. The larger footprint ( two wheels instead of one ) enhances stability and spreads the load over a larger floor area. The differential action inherent in all swivel dual wheel casters minimizes the effort required to change directions. We show only our highest capacity polyurethane and polymer wheels on this page.
Upon request we can furnish all types of wheels in these casters. In Model 2-150 we offer capacity up to 20,000 Lbs per caster with metal wheels. Lead time is 2 days for swivel and rigid casters without options.
Heavy Duty Wheel Caster Features:
- Hot forged steel precision machined combination load and thrust bearing with heat treated raceway.
- No center pin to fail in arduous applications.
- Sealed Tapered Roller Bearings are standard in Polyurethane wheels.
- Swivel and Rigid frames Zinc plated for added rust resistance.
- Sealed Precision Ball Bearings are furnished in Polymer wheels.
The Swivel Lock and the Wheel Brake Options may add 1 week to the lead time. They are not returnable if ordered with either option.
“You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. There is no industry standard for load capacity ratings and they may not include a factor for abuse. Our capacity ratings are below what the casters are capable of carrying because most applications have less than perfect conditions. Please refer to the information shown at the bottom of this page. If you have any doubt as to which wheel or caster is the BEST choice for your application contact us for a recommendation. CALL US AT 800-501-3808”
Optional Features:
Wheel Brake (FCB):
Face Contact Brake locks both wheels.
Wheel Brakes are not designed to hold on inclines.

You should never select on the basis of load capacity alone. Capacity ratings do not take into account the effort required to manually move a load. Capacity ratings are based on manual operation under ideal conditions. If these casters are going to be moved by mechanically powered equipment, consult us for a reduced capacity rating based on your application. If a human being has to move the weight, select the largest practical wheel diameter. If a caster failure occurs it is almost always because of misuse or abuse. It has been very rare that a product failed because of faulty material or poor workmanship. The following are examples of things that we do NOT want you to do:
1. Dragging the wheel sideways.
2. Shock or Impact caused by dropping the load instead of setting it down on the castered equipment.
3. Improper Installation such as:
A. Rigid casters not installed parallel to one another.
B. Swivel casters not installed parallel to the floor.
C. Using less than 4 bolts to attach the mounting plate.
D. Distortion of the swivel bearing when attaching the mounting plate due to welding improperly.
4. Exceeding the rated capacity of the wheel or caster.
5. Exceeding a rolling speed of 3 MPH.
6. The build up of heat caused by continuous operation causing tire separation.
